So, what really happened with Jimmy Fallon's hand? Is he trying to conceal the truth behind why he ended up in the ICU for a simple hand injury? Let's find out the juiciest scoop in a Radar Online report.
After finding out about Fallon's surprise visit to the hospital, RadarOnline.com quickly wanted to utilize the Freedom of Information Act and requested a copy of the 911 tape and related records from the New York Police Department.
However, after almost 2 months since the incident took place, NYPD's legal bureau will not be addressing Radar's official inquiry.
Jimmy, 40, had just finished taping his late night show's June 25th episode and later had dinner on the Upper East Side, where fans were able to spot and take photos of him. However, after what appears to be a normal going night, Fallon was spotted checking himself into the ICU of a nearby hospital.
Was the host in a crucial condition? Maybe, since the scheduled taping for "Tonight Show" the day following the incident had to be cancelled. It was announced in the show's official Twitter account: "Hey guys - unfortunately tonight's taping has been cancelled due to Jimmy injuring his hand. He's totally fine but we'll be airing a repeat."
According to reports, the talk show host nearly ripped off his finger in a bumbling home incident. The host personally shared that the injury resulted from his wedding ring getting caught on a countertop at his New York City home during the wee hours of June 26. Apparently, the injury was severe enough that he feared possibly losing his finger which had him to stay 10 days in the local hospital's ICU.
What really happened? Apparently, we will never find out. According to a Records Access Officer in NYPD, Fallon's personal privacy would be violated if a public report would be released. "Such information, if disclosed, would constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy," the officer said.
Hmm, now this has got everybody curious.
