Tyga Net Worth: Rapper Loses Suit against Landlord Ordered to Pay $70,000

Tyga, the young rapper enamoured with ancient Egyptian culture and the current flame of model Kylie Jenner, has been ordered to pay his former landlord over $70,000. In a report from TMZ, the sum was ordered paid by the court as part of its decision in a dispute over rent.

Just last week, the 25-year-old rapper had filed a complaint in court against the landlord, saying there was no rent due as there was an agreement over the sale of the property to him. He alleged he even made a downpayment of $200,000 on the property.

The amount was to cover the rents due on the Calabasas property. Tyga, whose real name is Michael Nguyen-Stevenson, claims he purchased the house where he and former partner Blac Chyna had bunked together.

In a report from dailymail.co.uk, Tyga said the landlord had told him to place the $200,000 in escrow and he was allowed to move in, without needing to pay rent. He added that the money sat in escrow but the seller did not provide the necessary information for the loan to proceed.

The judge decided that there was no agreement in place between the two as to the rent over the home during the escrow period. It is this lack of agreement which apparently swayed the judge to require Tyga, who was absent during the hearing, to pay the rent.

The $70,000 due payment is just a drop in the personal net worth of the young musician. Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson took the name Tyga, an acronym for Thank You God Always. He rose from poverty stricken Compton in 2008 and then went on to a successful career. He is said to have a net worth of $5 million. He has a son named King Cairo Richardson with former live in partner Blac Chyna.
