‘Persona 5’ Release Date & News: Trailer To Be Revealed At SCEJA Event This September?

A new report has surfaced on Wednesday saying that new details about "Persona 5" will be announced during the Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia press conference scheduled on September 15. It was said that the game's release date will be unveiled and a new trailer will also be presented during the event, Design & Trend said.

"As far as Sony is concerned, 'Persona 5' is one of its highest-profile Japanese titles. Considering a trailer was revealed during the same conference last year, there's reason to believe that the same might be true in 2015 as well. What's possibly most tantalizing of all, however, is the prospect of finally getting an exact release date," the report said, suggesting that both a trailer and release date will likely be revealed.

However, industry commentators speculate that there's also a possibility that the video game's release date will be delayed again. One reason is that there's only two gameplay trailers that were released for this year, considering that 2015 have a few months left.

Despite all the speculations, Atlus reportedly remains committed to release the most anticipated video game this year. It was said that "Persona 5" game will arrive first in Japan followed by North America and Europe.

"Persona 5," according to Kotaku, "revolves around a young boy who has transferred to school in Tokyo. He lives at a café that belongs to a friend of his parents, and yet for some reason, he has lost his place in the world. The protagonist, while seemingly calm and mild-mannered, has an alter ego as a phantom thief. Once he dons his mask, he becomes someone else - a 'persona.'"

Meanwhile, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia will host its annual pre-Tokyo Game Show SCEJA Press Conference on September 15. The media event will be hosting the new Japanese PS4, PS3, and PS Vita Announcements. One of the notable announcements that will likely be included in the event is the PlayStation 4 verison of "Persona 5," which was announced last year alongside "Dragon Quest Heroes," "Disgaea 5," "Earth Defense Force 4.1" and more.
