Rumor has it that Apple's 4-inch iPhone 6c is scheduled to be released in the first week of November. It was said that Apple's upcoming iPhone will feature a full metal frame instead of a plastic casing such as in the case of iPhone 5c.
It can be recalled that both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were released last year without an upgraded plastic iPhone 5c. Apple is currently working on the rumored iPhone, but the company has yet to announce its release date, Design & Trend reported.
A report from MIC Gadget claims that iPhone 6c's rough cardboard mock-up revealed that the phone will have the same rounded shape, a design similar to both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. This detail was shared by an unnamed source working in a manufacturing company.
"The real meat here, though, is the release date. The source claims that the iPhone 6c will not be released at the same time as the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, but about two months later, around the time new iPads are expected to drop," the report noted.
95toMac reports that the rumored Apple smartphone will not be released this year, and it will likely have a 2016 launch date. It was said that a research note by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo wrote that Apple prefers to launch the 4-inch iPhone in 2016.
"The launch date of the new 4-inch version of the iPhone is being widely debated with rumours claiming it will launch in September alongside the new iPhone 6s or not until next year. This latest rumor suggests that Apple will get the handset out just in time for Christmas. It would be the first time the company had released a phone independently of the other handsets," Macworld noted.
