A former TV anchor shot two of his colleague, a TV reporter and cameraman, while broadcasting live Wednesday morning.
A video about a shooting incident involving a reporter and her camera man had gone momentarily viral on the net before social media admins removed the video. The said video was uploaded by the perpetrator of the crime himself, Vester Lee Flanagan II who went by Bryce Williams on air.
In the video, you could see the suspect casually approaching the victims while they were working. He lurks from behind while the broadcast is being aired live and nearly a minute he then fires more than a dozen shots. You could hear from the video the suspect whispering "Bitch" after pointing the gun at one of the victims.
According to reports, Flanagan, accused the victims- reporter Alison Parker, 24, and cameraman Adam Ward, 27- of racial prejudice in connection to the complaints filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the station's human resources department. On his twitter account the suspect made a series of post saying that;
"Alison made racist comments"
"EEOC report filed..."
"They hired her after that???..."
"Adam went to hr on me after working with me one time!!!..."
"I filmed the shooting see Facebook."
After the said incident a man-hunt was immediately made to capture the suspect of the shooting incident at a shopping plaza in Moneta, Va. However, after five-hour manhunt operation the police revealed that the shooter committed a suicide by shooting himself and was pronounced dead the afternoon that same day.
The real motive of the suspect is still being cemented by the authorities, especially that a 23- page fax was received by a media station including a suicide note and so called motivation on why he did such unspeakable act.
And for the families left by the victim, they still can't believe the incident and they feel that watching the video clip is like watching a beheading being done. On the words of one of the family members left by the victims;
"It's like showing those beheadings. I am not going to watch it. I can't watch it. I can't watch any news. All it would do is rip out my heart further than it already it is."
