On Monday, Alison Brie and Dave Franco's engagement made headlines. The next day, people at the LA premiere of her latest movie, "Sleeping with Other People," had the chance to take a glimpse of the actress' sparkler, which reports say could be worth at least $100K.
Although Brie remained tight-lipped about their engagement, everyone was excited to see her Irene Neuwirth diamond ring. The sparkler is a diamond solitaire ring that is designed with double halo in rose gold. According to Hollywood Life, Vice President of Marketing for Ritani Mark Keeney describes it as vintage. From his estimate, the diamond is about 3 carats set in an 18kt-gold.
"It looks like a rose gold double halo ring, with a round center diamond," Simon G. Jewelry rep, Elizabeth Woolf-Willis added. "The diamond looks pretty significant, possibly around 2 cts."
The "Community star" and "Neighbors" actor rep confirmed their engagement on Monday. Dave's older sibling also announced the good news on his Twitter page on Tuesday.
"Congrats Davy and Allison!!! engaged!!! I WUUUUUV YOU," Dave's brother wrote, according to Daily Mail.
Before Alison was seen in the premiere of her latest movie, Franco, 30, reportedly announced the engagement news to his close pals at the Sushi Park in Los Angeles on Monday night. He told his friends about his engagement and everyone congratulated him, according to UsWeekly.
It seems Alison Brie got lovestruck with Franco since in 2012, she revealed to Elle Canada that she's not sure about marrying in the future. The two started dating in 2012.
"I don't even know if I want to get married," she told the outlet. "I've never been the girl who's planning my dream wedding - I was always practicing my speech for the Oscars. That was my dream, which is kind of sad but kind of great," Alison said.
In the film "Sleeping with Other People," Brie plays the role of a serial cheater Lainey, who meets again her womanizer college friend, played by Jason Sudeikis. The film also features Natasha Lyonne and Amanda Peet. It will be released on September 11 in the U.S.
