CEO of the popular Mexican chain fast food, Chipotle, Steve Ells put his West Village townhouse on the market for $16.5 million. According to Curbed, Ells cut the price of the home by more than $1.5 million after one month of it being on the market, and is now asking for $14.9 million.
The five-story, 5,000-square-foot Greek revival home at 92 Jane St. was built in 1901. The property is 24-foot-wide with red bricks, which makes it stand out from all the other houses.
The residence has four bedrooms with a full-floor master suite, three full bathrooms and two powder rooms. Other features of the luxurious home that belongs to the CEO of the Mexican Grill include four wood burning fireplaces and a back wall of glass which offers views from every floor of the buildings private garden with a reflecting pool.
The townhouse also includes a family room with two terraces, indoor and outdoor fireplaces.
Robby Browne of the Corcoran Group has the listing of the townhouse.
Curbed confirmed that Ells bought the West Village home back in 2008 for $13.4 million. The home appeared on the market in 2007 as a single-family palace for $16.5 million.
Ells has also purchased a penthouse at 40 Fifth Avenue for $11 million and 14 Waverly Place for $5.65 million over the past few years.
