After three years and three seasons, "Hannibal" will be airing its final episode this weekend. According to International Business Times, Will (Hugh Dancy) may not win against his arch nemesis and mentor Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen), however he may find a way to finally defeat and even kill Francis Dolarhyde (Richard Arbitage).
According to Christian Today, the official synopsis for the season finale reveals that Will has a plan in mind and it will involve using Hannibal as bait. Dolarhyde, also known as the Red Dragon, will be lured, and Will intends to kill him once and for all. In the process of him killing Dolarhyde, it was reported that he might also rescue Reba (Rutina Wesley) after she was kidnapped by the Dragon after completing his transformation.
However, it was reported that Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson) will disagree with his plan, claiming it will not only endanger his life but also of those people around him including Reba, who is still in the hands of the Dragon. Based on the synopsis, it seems like Will Graham will have to face his darkest fears in order for him to succeed.
Throughout the story, it was said that Will has always felt like a pawn being played on by his God complex-suffering mentor Hannibal, and he was always referred to as the lamb. The Season 3 finale is titled "The Wrath of the Lamb," and viewers will reportedly see Will do everything he can to put the crisis to an end.
In the promotional video for the Season 3 finale, the moves done by Will Graham cannot be seen; instead it shows all of the characters involved in the deadly game in which the story revolves.
"Hannibal" Season 3 episode 13 will be the show's season and series finale at the same time. It will air on August 29 on NBC.
