After crashing his No.11 Toyota in Turn 1 during a testing at Kansas Speedway on Thursday, Denny Hamlin said he felt "slightly dizzy."
The NASCAR racer admitted that he would probably not go to the infield care center, although NASCAR officials are suggesting him to do so.
Hamlin confessed that he hit the wall with the right rear of his car while going as fast as 202 mph entering a corner, which sent his car down the track.
He said he over reacted and hit the wall with the right side of the car, destroying it. Camry had planned to race with the Toyota Camry on Sunday.
"I was slightly dizzy after the first hit and after that just came back and everything has cleared right up," Hamlin said.
"I feel fine now. You don't feel good after a hard hit. Just [a] typical hard hit, ring-your-bell-bell of thing. [You] get jarred around, you feel a little out of it for a second, but everything came back. This is the first time I really kind of got dizzy."
After realizing how damaged his car was, a NASCAR official prompted Hamlin to go to the check-up center an hour after the crash.
The care center cleared the racer after a 10-minute evaluation.
