Last week, Superman aficionados have been rejoicing when news came out that "Mad Max: Fury Road" director George Miller had a big chance of helming the next installment of "Man of Steel." But recent news comes out that the sequel of Superman is now permanent hold.
AV Clubs reports that recent news has snapped the neck of last week's update. It seems that the news of Miller directing "Man of Steel 2" is still murky. He might be working something about DC Superheroes but it is not certain if it is the last son of Krypton.
Den Of Geek says that the sequel of "Man of steel" has been on "permanent hold." It is pretty unclear what it means because it appears like an oxymoron. "Either the company has scrapped plans to make it, in which case it's not on hold, it's done." That being said, there will be no future inevitable reboots of the film. Another interpretation f "permanent hold" is that DC might be trying to resolve some undisclosed issues.
Superman is definitely the "super-est" of all superheroes, according to Digital Trends. Yet, it seems that its status with the silver screen has been complicated. It might have been fairly received by its audience when Zack Snyder had helmed one of its reboot. Fans are hoping that a sequel will hit the big screen since the previous work of Zack Snyder had been a box office success with a gross income of $668,045,518 worldwide.
There is nothing much to argue about the decision of DC concerning putting the project on "permanent hold." But followers believe that the project is not dead yet. Fans will see their favorite superhero once again in the silver screen. It might not be a standalone film but with the ensemble of DC superheroes.
