The game and saga movie that captivated the world is now back, but is it halted? The fan remake called 'Resident Evil 2 Reborn' made a big splash several weeks ago when developer Invader Games showed off a new trailer for their game, as stated in a previous report by Tech Times.
The small squad engaged one of the most-loved horror games of all time, and reconstructed it with contemporary graphics using Unreal Engine 4. The remake also added an innovative gameplay mechanism that will soon be released to the public in the form of an alpha.
However, despite the wishes of those that created it, it might not be released at all. According to a previous report by IGN, "Capcom is working on an official Resident Evil 2 remake, popular fan project Resident Evil 2 Reborn has been cancelled at Capcom's request."
Capcom, it seems, has further plans for the company, and even the company is acknowledging the success of the game. According to an earlier report by IGN, "Resident Evil 2 Reborn garnered attention late last month with a gameplay trailer showing off Leon S. Kennedy (in his old R.P.D. Uniform) roaming the dark, high-def streets of Raccoon City during the game's opening moments." Even though the fans and followers of this thrilling game is a bit down as to the outcome of the remake, it is not altogether lost since Resident Evil 2 might come out sooner rather than later, due to Capcom's desire to personally do the remake themselves.
The remake is different from its predecessors because of the changes in the gameplay and its modernization. According to an earlier article by IGN it is "unlike the original 1998 survival horror, the Unreal Engine 4-powered remake took an over-the-shoulder approach similar to Resident Evil 4 and more recent installations in the franchise."
