"Orange is the New Black" (OITNB) Season 4 will reportedly introduce Jolene Purdy as one of its newest cast members.
According to Christian Post, Purdy is rumored to be cast as a new inmate or prison guard on "Orange is the New Black" Season 4. As of late, series creator Jenji Kohan and Netflix have not yet confirmed or denied the report.
Meanwhile, there are also some speculations that reality TV star Caitlyn Jenner will appear on "OITNB."
In a previous interview with The Star, cast member Laverne Cox said that she doesn't have any idea whether or not Jenner will be part of the series.
"You never know. I have no idea what's happening in Jenji Kohan's mind or our casting director's mind about casting, but I'm pretty sure that's not true. I'm not involved in casting our show, but it is really funny the rumors... it's pretty ridiculous sometimes," she said.
Just last week, news also broke out that Katie Holmes could be part of the upcoming fourth season of the hit Netflix series.
During an interview with ET Online, Kohan revealed that she previously wanted to tap Holmes for the role of Piper Chapman. The character was later on given to Taylor Schilling, who has been on it for the past three seasons.
"I'm a big fan of Holmes. I met with her originally for Piper, I believe," she said.
If Holmes will be re-invited to appear on "Orange is the New Black," Kohan said that she could play the role of Lorna's sister or friend. "She could be friends with Lorna (Yael Stone) or like Lorna Boston's sister," she said.
However, Kohan didn't mention whether or not she has plans of reaching out to Holmes again ahead of the filming for Season 4.
"Orange is the New Black" season 4 will premiere on Netflix in June 2016.
