"Dance Moms" Season 5 star Maddie Ziegler recently confirmed that some of the fights on the Lifetime series are fake.
In an interview with USA Today, the professional ALDC dancer said that some of the fights between the moms on the show are fake.
"It's hard to do a reality show when there's so much crying and drama. The producers set it up to make us all yell at each other," she said.
Ziegler added that the moms immediately talk to each other and laugh after together after their staged fights.
"You know how I said that moms do fight? The moms have to fake a fight sometimes. Afterward they just start talking and laugh about it," she said.
Meanwhile, even though Ziegler revealed that some of the fights on the show are fake, the 12-year-old dancer said that their dances and competitions are real.
"It is really real. We do have a really crazy competition life," she said.
However, Ziegler's last statement doesn't coincide with what an insider said about "Dance Moms."
While speaking with Radar Online, the source said that the producers of the reality TV show came up with fake competitions where Abby Lee Miller's girls normally won first place.
"It seemed like they were going to film it and let Abby Lee's people win everything, and let a couple of other people win first place occasionally in categories they didn't have dancers in," the source said.
Additionally, the source revealed that the producers of "Dance Moms" shoot and reshoot certain scenes that makes everyone feel tired.
"It was a twelve hour day. Everything took a long time because they filmed it multiple times," the source added.
In other news, "Dance Moms" Season 6 has already been renewed by Lifetime. As of late, it is still unclear whether fan favorites Maddie and Mackenzie Ziegler, Kendall Vertes, Kalani Hilliker, JoJo Siwa and Nia Frazer will all return.
