Tagg Romney Apologizes to Obama After Monday Night's Debate

Tagg Romney apologized to President Barack Obama after Monday night's presidential debate for a comment he made after the one prior.

According to ABC News, Tagg apologized to the president for making that comment on stage after Monday night's debate.

President Obama, who shook Tagg's hands and gave him a friendly hug, accepted his apology immediately.

Last week after the second presidential debate Mitt Romney's oldest son, Tagg, 42, surprised many people when he threatened President Obama on a radio station the next day.

Radio host Bill LuMaye asked Tagg, how he felt during the debate, when Obama called his father a liar. Tagg said on the radio interview in North Carolina that he wanted to "jump out of my seat ... rush down to the debate stage and take a swing at him."

"But you know you can't do that because, well, first, because there's a lot of Secret Service between you and him, but also because this is the nature of the process," Tagg said.

"They're going to do everything they can do to try to make my sad into someone he's not. We signed up for it. We've gotta kinda sit there and take our punches and then send them right back the other way."

That comment raised a lot of eyebrows as it reflected on his father's campaign.
