'Vikings' Season 4 Update: Ragnar Lothbrok Conquers France on the Warpath; Son Bjorn will be Named the King of the Vikings

In the fourth season of "Vikings" fans will see Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) on the warpath as he tries to conquer France. The finale on "Vikings'' Season 3 saw Rollo (Clive Standen) making an alliance with France's Emperor Charles (Lothaire Blueau) in exchange for the hand of the princess and the land. It was reported that there will be a time jump in the next season and Ragnar will be dealing with problems about his health caused by the battle with the French king. Ragnar is also having problems trusting the people around him and it is still unknown if this is the reason why he'll be dethroned.

"Vikings" season 4 will be about Ragnar Lothbrok trying to conquer Franc, according to Ecumenical News. His son, Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) is reported to take his place as head of the Vikings. Being the new leader of the Vikings, it won't be as easy for Bjorn as he's also allegedly suffering from the loss of his wife, and he's also still trying to earn the trust of his people. The fourth season also focused on Ragnar and Lagertha's (Katheryn Winnick) relationship.

"Vikings" Season 4 focuses on the betrayals that happened throughout the previous season. Angelica Mei Dollesin of the Venture Capital Post reports that a bunch of new details for the "Vikings" Season 4 has been unveiled and would have a two year time jump, as it attempts to show the rivalry between Rollo and Ragnar.

Travis Fimmel revealed some new details about his character in "Vikings"' Season 4. "He's going to want to prove that this is what the gods meant and this is why he should be dancing naked on the sand. However, the conflict now is at a much higher level, it has different sorts of ramifications too," said Fimmel of the character.

According to Latinos Post, "Vikings" set a hit record in TV series. The upcoming season should also meet the expectations of the fans as new updates have been exposed by the San Diego Comic Con during History's panel.

"Vikings" Season 4 is set to return in 2016 and will be aired on History. Fans can catch and enjoy the official Comic-Con trailer below.
