Tyga's net worth is reported at $5 million. However, despite the substantial amount, the rapper is being sued by his landlord for nonpayment of a two-month rent of his Calabasas home which amounts to over $70,000.
On Thursday, the "Rack City" singer, 25, was spotted carrying a handful of cash on his hand as he was leaving a bank near his home, Daily Mail reports. The latest sighting led to many speculations that he's going to settle the amount he reportedly owes his landlord.
It has been reported that Kylie Jenner's boyfriend is fighting with his landlord over the $8 million property. He claims he doesn't owe the landlord anything because he paid a downpayment to the owner. However, the judge has ruled out his claim on Monday and said that he needs to settle the pending backrent. The rapper didn't appear in court.
"Tyga's gone to war over the Calabasas home -- just a few minutes from Kylie's -- and on Monday a judge ruled he had stiffed the landlord. Even with $70k on the line, Tyga didn't even bother showing up in court ... possibly because he says he's no renter," TMZ reports.
Meanwhile, the 25-year-old "Switch Lane" crooner has his own explanations of the incident. He is suing his landlord for a breach of contract, People reports. According to the rapper's lawyer, the singer paid $200,000 as a down payment for the said home he's renting with former partner Blac Chyna and their son. The two reportedly signed an agreement in September 2014.
Tyga, born as Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson, rose to fame with his recorded single, "Coconut Juice." He collaborated with Rick Ross, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, and Wiz Khalifa. Tyga owns a clothing label in Los Angeles called Last Kings. He is the ex-partner of Blac Chyna, whom he has a son with named King Cairo.
