The Aranda Shops Project is aimed at polishing a building for the residents on the area. With architectural designs being currently developed, architect Bronwen Jones is set at creating it into a "not your ordinary" coffee shops and restaurants with a unique style that incorporates a sense of community.
There are thousands of coffee shops present in the world. For Aranda Shops, it is near opening and seek the help of Bronwen Jones, a renowned architect and Aranda resident and design studio leader at the FAD, University of Canberra, reported Domain.
Aranda shops are going to be a suburban makeover, according to ABC. The new building will hav a new café and roaster, bar, pizzeria, yoga studio, and a relaxing library space for the residents of the neighborhood.
The community urged him to create something unique and special with a hit of brilliant imagination in creating a new building within the vicinity to incorporate a community feel.
The said neglected building that has a car park of seedy activity is going to be turned by Jones into something where the residents would feel that they could come together and enjoy their time with their families and friends.
Jones' plans include creating a design studio with students from the Faculty of Arts and Design at the University of Canberra come 2015 winter season. Also, the formulation of the building would serve as a valuable educational experience for the students and other members of the community who are willing to introduce their personal ideas and create a masterpiece.
Furthermore, Jones also declared that he will use adaptive urbanism in creating the said building. The said adaptive urbanism in architecture matters provide for the public space being re-designed and re-programmed by using pilot projects such as the Aranada Shops Project. Also, this would provide for an affordable construction and would allow the community to test it out for their own benefit.
With the Aranda Shops Project making its way this fall, the residents of the county would see the artistic incorporation of architect Bronwen Jones turn a neglected building into something that the community can spend a nice time at.
