It seems that Miranda Lambert is back to her old creative ways and writing songs after she split up with Blake Shelton. The country superstar even shared an Instagram picture and used the hashtag "'#MusicIsMedicine" with her social media post.
Lambert's creative juices are flowing, states Entertainment Tonight, supported by the awesome spread she prepared during her writing session last Tuesday night, August 25. The newly single songstress' Instagram snap showcased a delectable platter of chips, cheese, crackers and sandwich wraps. Lambert prepared the food for her friends and collaborators, Nicolle Galyon and Natalie Hemby, who reportedly joined her for the jam session. The country music star even partnered the delicious looking food with a bottle of wine and a witty sign which read, "This wine is making me awesome."
The 31 year old singer captioned the image, "Food for thought! Late night writing session was a success! (I won't show the after pic!) Love yall @nicatnitemusic and @wruckestrike #newsongs #musicismedicine #platinum #Automatic."
Lambert is not the only one who went back to writing music. According to Us Weekly, Shelton has also gone back to work and even wrote a song. The 39 year old "The Voice" coach wrote a message in Twitter on August 21 to share the good news. Shelton tweeted, "Wrote a song so important to me I can't believe it... Thank you Jon Randall and @JessiLAlexander..." Aside from songwriting, Lambert's ex-husband has joined other "The Voice" coaches, such as newly single singer Gwen Stefani, in filming season 9 of the hit series.
Shelton and Lambert announced their divorce late last July, after being married for four years. In a statement which was released the singers' representatives to various media sites last month, the former couple wrote, "This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter."
