Kim Kardashian, Kanye West Legal Battle Over Leaked Proposal Video Wins Them $440,000 in Settlement

Hollywood power couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West wins $440,000 in settlement over legal battle regarding leaked video which showed West's lavish marriage proposal.

Way back in 2013, the rapper threw a private AT&K Park party, wherein West proposed to his then girlfriend Kardashian. The romantic event was witnessed by family and close friends. According to E!News, West's marriage proposal was filmed for an online video as well as the family's reality show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." However, a leaked video version made its way online and the couple sued YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley after investigations showed that Hurley's website Mixbit's logo was seen on the footage.

The E! report also mentioned that the YouTube co-founder allegedly "tagged along with an invited guest" and was allowed to stay after signing a confidentiality agreement. The agreement prohibited him from posting videos or images. After the identified video leak source, Kardashian and West filed a legal case against Hurley and sought damages for alleged breach of contract, fraud and unjust enrichment.

The entertainment site learned Thursday, August 27, that the case was settled with Hurley required to pay the couple $440,000 in settlement. The YouTube co-founder reportedly has yet to comment on the latest news.

However, the couple's lawyer told E! that they believe the case yielded a "fair and just outcome." The lawyer added, "We are gratified that California's trial and appellate courts upheld all our claims in this matter."

Meanwhile, the reality star and husband West are expecting their second child in December. The pregnant TV personality even flaunted her curvy body as she stepped out in Los Angeles Thursday, reports the Mirror. The proud mother of one, showed off her growing baby bump in an all black dress with a plunging neckline. The fashionable star complimented the outfit with strappy black heels and a delicate gold necklace. The star reportedly met her sister Kourtney Kardashian at an organic food market, along with nephew Mason and mother, Kris Jenner.
