Beliebers rejoice as Justin Bieber made his music comeback with the release of his new single "What Do You Mean?"
The social media countdown, supported by his celebrity friends including Britney Spears, Kendall Jenner, and Miley Cyrus, came to an end on Friday as Bieber finally posted the music video on his account, saying, "I'm back. #whatdoyoumean on @spotify now."
The launch of the "Baby" singer's new song became a top trending topic on Twitter as his loyal fans rushed in joy and his video immediately garnered nearly half a million views, Forbes reported. OK! magazine said the pop singer's hiatus from music seems to be paying-off.
The track is just the first sample from the collection in his upcoming fourth album to be released on Nov. 13 through RBMG/Def Jam Recordings, according to Rolling Stone. "The limber track finds Bieber crooning over looped vocal samples, gentle piano chords and tropical synths," Rolling Stone wrote.
It has been confirmed that Bieber co-produced the single with MdL who collaborated in his "Boyfriend" song, clearing up the earlier rumors that it was produced by Skrillex.
The official video of "What Do You Mean?" will premiere on Sunday on Vevo after Bieber's live performance of the song at MTV Video Music Awards 2015. He will appear on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Sept. 2 and on "The Today Show" for a week from Sept. 7 to 11.
In addition to the social media countdown featuring some of his celebrity friends, Bieber also sent lyric snippets and a clock to some Twitter followers through direct message. The 21-year-old singer has also received support from other celebrities such as Ariana Grande, Brooklyn Beckham and Ellen DeGeneres. Even Marnie the dog showed support by posing with a banner with the song written on it.
The track can be purchased already on iTunes.
