Previously slated to be sports' power couple for the years to come, Sasha Vujacic and Maria Sharapova's relationship made big waves in the industry before they broke off their engagement back in 2012.
The crew from TMZ recently asked a few questions to the NBA star regarding the possibility of him reconciling with ex-fiancee Sharapova. It reportedly started off with reports that rapper Drake just got back together with tennis star Serena Williams, which then led to the question for Vujacic about getting back together with Sharapova.
Vujacic answered it with a straight "No!" and in the video, he appears to be accompanying another lady friend. The ambush interview was set in the airport, but it was the female companion who was set to fly.
Sharapova and Vujacic got together back in 2009 and got engaged a year after. The former couple said that they ended their relationship in good terms and would still call each other a friend. They reportedly value the many years that they've spent together and they respect each other.
Meanwhile, the former L.A. Lakers player has recently been signed with the New York Knicks, back in Phil Jackson's arms. Reports say that he will be a key addition to the Knicks' lineup, and Jackson has only nice words to say about the basketball star.
"Sasha hasn't played in the NBA for four years, but at age 31 he still has plenty of game. He's a classic streak-shooter who, when he's zeroed in, can totally change a game in three minutes. He'll be a significant force for us coming off the bench," Jackson told ESPN. Jackson also added that Sasha's years with the Lakers and his knowledge of their Big 3 will be beneficial to the team.
