While the Winchester brothers have fought out various types of evil even Lucifer from the last seasons of "Supernatural," there is no question how much capable the two brothers are in conquering forces of the darkness. But come Season 11, the two may undermine the cunning and biggest evil force of all, "The Darkness" which was introduced last Season 10. Jensen Ackles who plays Dean Winchester in the series teases some details regarding the force of evil that they need to fight next season.
"The Darkness" came before God's existence. God with the help of the archangels battled out a gruesome, wrecking war over "The Darkness" and soon after, it was defeated and trapped. God then created a "Mark" to lock "The Darkness" on its cage and gave it Lucifer. As Lucifer failed due to wrong admonitions for humanity, the Mark was passed on to Cain then in turn passes the Mark to Dean. In Episode 23 of the 10th season "Brother's Keeper," the Mark was removed, causing "The Darkness" to escape.
When Ackles was asked from an interview with EW about "The Darkness," he said that "As of right now we have it built as one specific entity, obviously that would be a character that we're introducing."
He also added that it is still unknown to them what the entity's capabilities are: "But whatever the reach of that character, what that character can do, we're not quite sure of."
Ackles said, "We don't know the scope of her powers ... It's not really a monster. It's more of a primal force that we know nothing about. There's no lore; there's no guidebook; there's no instruction manual on how to deal with this."
Cartermatt also says that the biggest reveal for now with this "primal force" is that it is going to be a female. Would this be the role that Emily Swallow will play?
For now, let's leave it to the Winchester brothers and they better be tougher for this primal evil is surely badass.
"Supernatural" returns on The CW on Wed., Oct. 7 at 9 pm.
