Zayn Malik has no girlfriend right now. However, the latest reports reveal that the former One Direction star is totally smitten with Burberry Model Neelam Gill, and it will not take long before he becomes off the market again. Malik, 22, is said to be moving fast to be close to the model, soon after he called it quits with his fiancée Perrie Edwards.
Daily Mail says that the Indian model is set to move to Los Angeles anytime soon to be with the 22-year-old singer. Malik is renting an apartment in L.A. while recording his debut solo album. On Saturday, Aug. 29, the model, whose real name was Neelam Johal before assuming his stepfather's surname, announced her excitement to move in L.A.
"To live and die in LA, it's the place to be..." Gill wrote on Twitter.
Malik and Gill met in a London studio in March while she was visiting her friends, hip hop duo Krept and Konan. During the time, the former 1D hunk was working with Naughty Boy in the same building. Reports say that nothing happened on their first meeting as Malik was still with the Little Mix singer that time.
The two have seen each other again at the Asian Awards in London in April. Some insiders revealed that since Perrie and Zayn were still together that time, Malik and Gill just remained friends.
However, now that he's free, it is said that Malik has made moves to express his interest with the model. Gill is attracted to the singer, but at the moment she's more concentrated with her blossoming modeling career, OK! reports.
"Neelam doesn't know if she wants all of the drama that comes with dating someone in the public eye. She is going to LA to spend some time with Zayn and see how things go from there. She is serious about her career and doesn't want anything to get in the way of that but she has hit it off with Zayn."
Gill is currently working with Wilhelmina (NYC & Miami) and Elite (Paris). Malik started dating Edwards in 2012 and they got engaged the following year. After two years, the 22-year-old singer called off the engagement with the Black Magic singer through a text message.
