Ellen DeGeneres has led the tributes to self- help guru, Wayne Dyer.
Author of the best- selling book 'Your Erroneous Zones,' Wayne Dyer has died at the age of 75. The sad news was confirmed by his family through Facebook.
They wrote, "Wayne has left his body, passing away through the night. He always said he couldn't wait for this next adventure to begin and had no fear of dying. Our hearts are broken, but we smile to think of how much our scurvy elephant will enjoy the other side. We Love You Forever Dad/Wayne."
Dyer died Saturday night in Maui Hawaii, according to NBC News.
DeGeneres shared a photo of her wedding day with Portia De Rossi, which showed that Dyer was officiating the event.
DeGeneres wrote to her Twitter, "The world has lost an incredible man. Wayne Dyer officiated our wedding & was an inspiration to so many. Sending love."
De Rossi also tweeted, her message reads, "Wayne will be greatly missed by those who were fortunate enough to know him but his teachings will live on forever."
Fellow life coach Tony Robbins also shared his thoughts, "4 those of us who loved him it's sad, but he knew death was a transition. We send love 4his next adventure."
In 2009, he was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia but claimed he was treated with daily exercise, positive thinking and "psychic surgery," which was remotely performed by the Brazilian medium João Teixeira de Faria or known as 'John of God,' according to NBC News.
Dyer inspired many people through his 10 PBS Specials that raised over $250 million for public television. He also wrote 40 books, including 20 of New York Times bestsellers. His first written book in 1976, titled 'Your Erroneous Zones,' is said to be one of the best-selling books of all time with an estimated 35 million copies sold. After studying education counselling and clinical psychology, the Doctor turned towards spiritual aspects, according to Daily Mail.
