Robin Wright and Ben Foster called off their engagement for the second time after announcing in January 2014 that they're going to get married. The two reportedly parted ways a few months ago and are keeping mum on their split.
An insider told People that Wright, 49, and Foster, 34, have already ended their engagement some months back. The source revealed that the couple tried to work things out but they failed. There were reportedly many issues in their relationship that surfaced over and over.
"She got swept up in the engagement last Christmas, but then their schedules got crazy and she realized it wasn't the right decision," an insider told UsWeekly.
The two have 14 years of age gap and it has reportedly taken a toll in their relationship. "Ben was kind of immature," the insider added. "She couldn't deal with him anymore."
Wright and Foster have not commented on the issue.
The rumored split of the ex-couple is not new at all. After their 2014 engagement, they called it quits in November but got back together in January this year.
Back in April, the "Princess Bride" and "House of Cards" star told Vanity Fair how happy she was with Ben Foster.
"I've never been happier in my life than I am today," Wright told Vanity Fair earlier this year. "Perhaps it's not ladylike [to say], but I've never laughed more, read more, or come more than with Ben. He inspires me to be the best of myself. There's so much to learn. It's endless. How great!"
Wright and Foster met at the set of "Rampart" in 2011. They started dating in 2012 after she split with her second husband, Sean Penn, with whom she shares a daughter, Dylan Penn, 24, and a son, Hopper Penn, 22. Wright was first married to her co-star in "Santa Barbara," Dane Witherspoon. It was supposed to be Foster's first marriage.
