After upsetting most of the Latinos over his xenophobic speeches, as highlighted by Ricky Martin on his op-ed, Donald Trump now turns to the Bible for refuge.
Yes, without any doubt the Holy Bible is the number one favorite book of the Presidential hopeful, Donald Trump. The bible and Trump's affinity to it seems to be a recurring statement in most of his recent rallies. On a video compiled by CNN, Trump was seen and heard calling the bible "the greatest book of all time." It was on these moments that Trump's love for the bible verbally resonated all over his political rallies.
However, for a man who sought God's forgiveness through drinking "his little wine and has "his little cracker," sharing verses seems to be very hard. When asked by a reporter to share one or two of his favorite Bible verses, Trump uncharacteristically said in reply that;
"I wouldn't want to get into it. Because to me, that's very personal," he said. "The Bible means a lot to me, but I don't want to get into specifics."
As a result of this so-called Trump's biblical verse secrecy, the social media world decided to decode Trump's verses via #TrumpBible. With the use of Trump's noted phrases, people are making their own gospel according to Trump. And what follows underneath are some of its creative examples:
Writer Ben Casselman posted, "There *is* room at the inn but Mary and Joseph refuse to stay there because it is LOW CLASS and a DUMP. #TrumpBible"
Dr. Eric Levi, a surgeon, posted, "And Lo, Jesus said unto Judas Iscariot: "You're fired" #TrumpBible"
Paul McLeod tweeted, "Then He will also say to those on His left, 'Depart from Me, haters and losers, into the eternal fire, which is Mexico.'" #TrumpBible"
