Shannen Doherty revealed she has breast cancer two weeks ago. On Thursday, Aug. 27, the "Beverly Hills" alum stepped out for the first time in Malibu, California since her revelation of her health condition.
Doherty, 44, was seen looking fine as she ran errands with her close friend that day. She was looking pale, but it seems the actress is keen on being active and staying healthy as she donned a sporty Nike getup for tennis.
On August 19, she spoke about her debilitating condition for the first time after she was diagnosed with cancer in March.
"Yes, I have breast cancer, and I am currently undergoing treatment," the actress told People. "I am continuing to eat right, exercise and stay very positive about my life. I am thankful to my family, friends and doctors for their support and, of course, my fans who have stood by me."
The latest news about Doherty comes after she filed a lawsuit against her business manager Tanner, Mainstain, Glynn & Johnson. She claims that her business manager failed to pay her medical insurance in 2014, resulting to the cancellation of her medical insurance. After getting her insurance back in 2015, she was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer metastatic to a tleast one lymph node, according to TMZ.
The "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" actress alleges that TMG&N is responsible for her cancer since she could have taken preventive measures such as mastectomy and chemotherapy before it even spread out. According to Daily Mail, she has spent huge amount of money for her medical bills and was unable to work since then.
Meanwhile, her former business manager later claimed that Doherty's allegations are "patently false." The company said that they are saddened to know that the actress is suffering from cancer and they wish her a full recovery. However, regarding her accusations, they are reportedly going to fight Doherty in court.
