The scandal surrounding the disgraced TV star, Josh Duggar, seems to be having a ripple effect to another member of his family. According to radaronline.com, Josh's sister, Jessa, is facing extremely negative reaction following her brother's admitted cheating, porn addiction and alleged sexual abuse.
Many women protested about 22-year-old star's appearance at the Southern Women's Show in Charlotte, North Carolina on Saturday, Aug. 29.
Critics went on social media to express their outrage. On Facebook, someone commented, "I would bet that there will be many women coming to your event that have been sexually molested, how do you think they will feel about this girl who minimizes it and has been taught it is her fault. You seriously need to re-think who your paid guests are!"
Another critic made another harsh post by saying, "I'M NOT GOING NOW!!! P*** poor role model, liar from a bigot family. BOYCOTT!"
According to radaronline.com, protestors have tried contacting the event's executive director to air their grievances about the "scandalous" guest.
In response to the negative remarks, the reality TV personality said she's holding on to her faith to cope with the situation surrounding her and her brother, ABC News reported. "You just have to keep your focus and trust God," she told People.
Despite the protests of women who do not want her in the show, Jessa still came to promote her book "Growing Up Duggar: It's all About Relationships." In an interview at the Southern Women's Show, she talked about pregnancy and having more kids. "Well, I'm not giving birth to that many, but we want to adopt," she told US Weekly.
It can be recalled that the pregnant and newlywed "19 Kids and Counting" star brushed off her brother's behavior as "bad choices" when she went public about the issue on being a victim of her brother's alleged molestation.
Jessa and husband Ben Seewald are expecting their first baby in November.
