It has been eighteen years since Diana, Princess of Wales died in a tragic accident in Paris. And now, years after her death, loyal fans are still remembering the late royal and how her death shook the media landscape.

August 31 marked the 18th year death anniversary of Princess Diana, states USA Today. The then 37 year old royal was killed in a car accident along with Dodi Fayed and their driver in a Paris tunnel. The investigation surrounding their death took eighteen months and the results indicated that the driver was drunk and that the two were not wearing their seatbelts as they sped through the Pont D'Alma tunnel to outrun paparazzi. Despite this, the public and other celebrities have placed most of the blame on photographers, paparazzi and the media outlets who "buy their work," states the publication.

Meanwhile, several media and news sites paid tribute to the late royal by sharing pictures of Princess Diana, such as Australia's Yahoo TV. The site prepared a picture collage showing the Princess of Wales' family life with her children.
