Julianne Moore Net Worth: ‘Still Alice’ Actress Gets Rid of Her Montauk Beach Cottage Worth $3.5M

Julianne Moore has recently listed on the market her small Montauk beach cottage for $3.5 million. The house located on Fort Pond is said to be tiny but offers an ideal location and "contemporary bliss."

New York Post reports that the Oscar-winning actress' cottage houses three bedrooms but only one bathroom and measures a total of 1,000 square feet. The publication dubs the property as a symbol of "chic modern minimalism."

Though the beach cottage has limited space, its location somehow makes up for it as it's ideally situated in front of Fort Pond and offers various activities such as paddleboarding, swimming, fishing and kayaking.

Photos from Curbed Hamptons show that the property stands on a sprawling area of bushes and trees. There's a gunite pool and cabana within the premises, and the house's interior features wood walls, wide plank floors and a brick fireplace. All of such details somehow create a country vibe for the place.

"Lush landscaping for privacy surround the home and pool area all overlooking the pond," the listing helpfully explains. The home is also a short walk from the beach and town. Truly a rare find," the listing for the property states.

The property was listed by broker Theresa Eurell from Town & Country Real Estate.

Moore has a net worth of $40 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. The American-British actress was once a regular in the soap opera "As the World Turns," where she won a Daytime Emmy award. She then starred in various movies in supporting roles such as "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" in 1997, "Hannibal" in 2001 and "The Hours" in 2002.

One of her remarkable performances is in the 2012 television film "Game Change," where she portrayed Sarah Palin and received numerous awards including Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actress. Her most recent acclaimed work is in the 2014 film "Still Alice," where she won her first Oscars award for portraying a character with Alzheimer's disease. Moore is also part of "The Hunger Games" franchise.
