"Girl Meets World" episode 15 of season 2 is just days away before it will hit viewer's TV screen. But many are already on the wait on the next episode's scoops. This character that will return on the show has always played a nostalgic part in Shawn's (Rider Strong) life, If you've watched "Boy Meets World" before, maybe you have a clue now.
Shawn's "the one that got away" previous long-term girlfriend Angela Moore (Trina McGee-Davis) will be back again for season 2 according to Enztars. The writers of the Disney show tweeted last Friday that the actress will be back saying, "Yes Angela will be back," and they also added, "She plays a very important role on the show."
McGee-Davis was last seen on the show's season 2 in the episode "Girl Meets Hurricane." It was a surprise to the viewers who knew ShawngelaGate from "Boy Meets World," as the two were noted to never part ways. McGee-Davis' character revealed that her dad, Chet died and that she came to talk to Shawn for advice. And though there were speculation that her surprise appearance will blow Shawn's relationship to Maya's mother, Katy (Cheryl Texiera), she revealed that she was already married and that her husband wants to have children already.
"Girl Meets World" creator Michael Jacobs told TVLine before that the ShawngelaGate love story was really finished in the original story. Jacobs said, "Shawn's relationship with Angela Moore had clearly ended in the original show, but ... Shawn is the only person Angela trusts to help her make an important decision."
He also added, "In answering for Angela, Shawn also discovers something about himself, Riley and Maya. We all want these characters happy. Angela is. Shawn isn't. The way it was and has always been."
"Girl Meets World" Season 2, Episode 15: "Girl Meets Farkle" airs on Friday, Sept. 11.
