"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 star Candice Accola recently confirmed her pregnancy via a post on her Instagram account.
In the snap, Accola was photographed wearing a white tank top with huge and colorful prints as design. The actress also had the word "Baby" on her belly area. The picture also featured Accola's husband Joe King and the guitarist's two daughters from a previous marriage.
Meanwhile, fans are wondering how Accola's pregnancy will play out in the upcoming seventh season of "The Vampire Diaries." Just recently, executive producer Julie Plec and showrunner Caroline Dries said that the upcoming instalment will focus more on Caroline and her relationship with Stefan (Paul Wesley).
According to International Business Times, there are several ways on how "The Vampire Diaries" could play out the actress' pregnancy, and this could include giving her a pregnancy arch on the show.
If this were to be the case, Caroline will be pregnant and it's possible that Stefan could be the father. However, this storyline may also be a little too pushing because Stefan will focus more on his relationship with his brother Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and their mom Lily (Annie Wersching) in the upcoming season.
It was also reported that Accola's baby bump may also be hidden on the show. This will be possible if Accola will always be featured in half body camera shots or with covers on her tummy area. This technique has reportedly been done so many times before and fans of "The Vampire Diaries" would definitely be understanding of the situation.
Additionally, a body double for Accola's Caroline may also be tapped to join the series throughout the entire duration of her pregnancy. The publication also suggested that Caroline be written out of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7. However, this cannot be the case because Caroline has a major role to play in the upcoming installment.
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 will premiere on The CW this October.
