Hollywood hunk Liam Hemsworth is teaming up with the world's famous frog and pig as "The Muppets" return to the prime-time this fall.
Entertainment Weekly had learned exclusively that the "The Hunger Games" actor is coming to the new fall comedy series and will be starring as himself in the popular show. Hemsworth's appearance in the show can only be expected to connote some kind of "The Hunger Games" parody, Entertainment Weekly said.
In this revival program of "The Muppets," viewers can expect "a more grown-up take on the beloved Muppet characters that goes 'behind the scenes' as Kermit, Miss Piggy and the rest stage a new prime-time series,"
The starry-eyed movie star is the latest Hollywood A-lister to join the cast. ABC has recently announced that several other guest stars such as Reese Witherspoon, Elizabeth Banks and Imagine Dragons will be coming to the show.
NY Daily News also reports that it has been revealed that Kermit and Miss Piggy have called their 30-year relationship quits. It came as a shock to everyone and it sounded unbelievable but the two have sent out a joint tweet Tuesday confirming their separation.
"After careful thought, thoughtful consideration and considerable squabbling, we have made the difficult decision to terminate our romantic relationship," the ex-lovers tweeted.
With this the two "cross-species" duo of show business will no longer be a couple when ABC's first season of "The Muppets" hits prime-time on Sept. 22.
With the new TV program projecting the Muppet characters as never before, offering a more adult look at popular puppets, would it make the fans wonder if Hemsworth would have a shot with the now single Diva?
