"Penny Dreadful" is back with amazing twists! The TV series is currently making the headlines as it is back with new characters and an interesting storyline. The psychological thriller's 3rd season is being talked about in most online website as new characters will soon be revealed. "Penny Dreadful" season 3 would run for 9 episodes.
As per TV Line, the former cast member Patti LuPone will be joining the 3rd season of the series. LuPone would be portraying the role of Dr. Seward, an American therapist that treats Vanessa [portrayed by Eve Green] with an unconventional new approach.
"Penny Dreaful" season 3 would also introduce Dr. Henry Jekyll to be played by Shazad Latif.
Christian Camargo from "Dexter" will also be joining the cast and he would be playing the role of Dr. Alexander Sweet. Dr. Sweet is a zoologist who strikes up an unlikely friendship with Vanessa.
Sam Barnett from "Jupiter Ascending" is also part of the 3rd season. He would be portraying the role of Dr. Seward's mysterious young secretary.
Wes Studi in the series-regular role of Kaetenay, an intense, enigmatic Native American with a deep connection to Ethan [played by John Hartnett] who also becomes an ally to Sir Malcolm [Timothy Dalton]
Jessica Barden would then play the role of Justine, a young acolyte to Lily (Billie Piper) and Dorian Gray (Reeve Carney).
During his interview with The Hollywood Reporter, "Penny Dreadful" creator John Logan dished out some details regarding the upcoming season 3. Logan then stated:
"Season three is a real change of pace for us, which is good, We can get out of the alleys and cobblestone bars of Victorian London and see a bit more of the world. Essentially there's a pull bringing these characters together, and it's supernatural, partly romantic, partly shared destiny."
"Penny Dreadful" season 3 is said to debut in 2016 in Showtime.
