"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 will premiere sometime in October, and it was recently confirmed that Candice Accola is pregnant. The actress' confirmation has fueled rumors that the executive producers and writers of the show will come up with a pregnancy storyline for Caroline, the character played by the actress.
In an interview with TV Line, Accola said that she's not sure whether or not there will be a Caroline-Stefan (Paul Wesley) storyline for Season 7.
"Production has known about our exciting news and there's been a lot of support. They already knew where this season was going, and it's kind of the same as every other year: We start the beginning of the season asking the writers a lot of questions about what's going to happen, then halfway through the season, it's completely different..." she said.
Accola added that it would be a better idea to directly ask executive producers Julie Plec and Caroline Dries whether or not her real-life pregnancy will be included as part of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7.
"Julie Plec and Caroline Dries are the best people to ask about whether or not her pregnancy will be written into the show. To be honest, I'm along for the ride just like the viewers are," she said.
Meanwhile, "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 will not only focus on Caroline and Stefan. The series will also center on Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie's (Kat Graham) close friendship.
According to Christian Today, there's a chance that Damon and Bonnie's friendship could develop into something more because the two will rely on each other post Elena's (Nina Dobrev) demise.
During a previous interview, Plec said that there's a chance Damon will hook up with other women in Season 7. However, she never confirmed whether or not one of these women will be Bonnie.
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 will premiere on The CW this October.
