‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ PC: Patch Works And Fixes Bugs, But Warner Bros. Removed It?

A new patch for the PC version of "Batman: Arkham Knight" has been released last Wednesday by Warner Bros. The 626 MB patch was deployed by the company to fix the major and minor bugs in the game. It was deployed to a specific group of Steam customers who agreed to play the beta builds of the game. However, hours after it went live, the company has removed the patch, saying the new build was released ahead of the schedule, a report from Gamespot said.

"Earlier today, Steam users noticed a large patch was deployed for the game, which quietly introduced a slew of new graphics options and made the game infinitely more playable for many. Not long after, however, another patch was released, which effectively removed it, and caused some crash issues for those who downloaded it. (Some have had success rebooting.)," Kotaku said.

According to Gamespot, some beta users who have actually played the patched version of the game claim that "Arkham Knight's" frame rate in PC version was generally "smooth and stable." Other participants also have noticed an improved gaming performance and additional graphics options. It was said that the latest patch has actually resolved the launch problems and other technical glitches in the game.

For instance, a beta user named Saerydoth said, "Holy...wow. Just opted into the beta patch. EVERYTHING maxed, all gameworks settings on. 4GB used out of 6 (980ti). Constant 60fps. I think I might've dropped to 55 once when driving but it's butter smooth."

"For any 970 users good news! I am able to run the game maxed out with all the added game works effects at a pretty stable frame rate! Lowest I got was 50 most of the time it was sitting around 70 those added smoke effects really do destroy my frame rate. This is such an improvement! I use to get mad stuttering and fps into the 40s while driving now its in the 60+!!," wrote another beta user named Gigabyte, as posted on Steam forum.

PC Gamer reports that Warner Bros. will roll out a new patch in the coming weeks that will eventually resolve all the technical issues and expand the graphics options of the game. It was said that the company had known the game's issues in PC "months" before it was slated to be released. However, the company has dismissed such claim as a "rumor" and "not proven."
