Former American daily soap actor, Larry Hagman's Ojai residence was listed for sale in 2009 for $11 million.
However, the property's price was lowered in June 2011 when Hagman's collectibles were auctioned. The price of the house has not increased since and the property still sits on the market with a lowered asking price of $8.45 million, reports Zillow.
The residence is a huge Tuscan style mansion that spread across an area of 42 acres. The home comprises of 7 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms and 5 huge swimming pools. The house was built in 1991 where Hagman and his wife lived, reports Zillow.
The home has a view of the Pacific Ocean on all sides and is perched on a hilltop. Hagman also maintained a green and clean property. The garden has plantations of grapefruit, lime, orange, olives and avocado trees all over it. More than 400 rose bushes scent up the surroundings as well, reports Radaronline.com
The home also has a helipad and sports German solar panels that are one-of-a-kind. The solar panels generate enough electricity to pump up water from the on-site wells into the gardens and orchards, the pools and the spa. The residence is the largest solarized house in the country, reports Dfw.com.
Hagman rightly called his home "Heaven."
Hagman gained fame for his soap opera stints in sitcoms like "Dallas" and "I Dream of Jeanie". He starred in films like "The Group", "Harry and Tonto" and "Jugs & Speed". He also directed the horror/comedy movie "Beware! The Blob" in 1972.
Hagman died on Nov. 23, 2012. He was suffering from throat cancer and died surrounded by loved ones at Medical City Dallas Hospital, Dallas, reported The Dallas Morning News.
Hagman's family had arranged for two funerals, one in California and the other in Texas in his fond memory, reported The Los Angeles Times.
