Carrie Underwood 'Blows Away' Tennessee Residence for $372,500

Country music star and 2005 "American Idol" winner Carrie Underwood has reportedly sold her not-so-glitzy home in Franklin, Tennessee, for $372,500.

The modest residence was Underwood's first splurge after she won "American Idol." She bought the home for around $384,000 and put it for sale first in 2011 with a price tag of $419,900, which she later lowered and finally sold for $372,500, reported Tulsa World.

The home consists of 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, sprawled across an area of 2,956 square feet. The residence is a two-story house with garage parking. It was built in 1998 and is a stucco fashioned stone home. The residence also has a cozy library/ study. The whole place has hardwood flooring and could be rendered as a great place for a non-celebrity, reported TMZ.

Underwood and NHL hockey player husband Mike Fisher have reportedly shelled out around $3.2 million in 2011 for a 400-acre lot in Nashville's southern foothills. The couple expect to build their dream home in the vast rural expanse. They also own a 5,000 square feet home in the gated community of Brentwood, Tennessee, according to the Tulsa World.

The Franklin home was a little too plain for the now millionaire country music star, which is probably why she sold it, reports TMZ.

Underwood has come a long way since her triumph in the fourth season of "American Idol". Her showcases are adorned by many Grammy Awards, American Music awards and Billboard Music Awards.

Currently, the "Blown Away" singer is preparing to star in "The Sound of Music", an NBC production musical.
