"The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder recently shared a photo of himself with co-star Paul Wesley on the set of The CW series. In the photo posted on Instagram, Somerhalder and Wesley, as Damon and Stefan Salvatore, were featured wearing a suit and tie.
"Damon and Stefan at it again," he wrote.
According to International Business Times, Somerhalder's photo seems to suggest that the Salvatore brothers will attend a formal event in the upcoming seventh season of "The Vampire Dairies."
Meanwhile, Damon and Salvatore will spend a lot of time with their mom Lily (Annie Wersching) in the upcoming installment. During an interview with Zap2It, executive producer Caroline Dries revealed that Lily will manipute her sons in Season 7.
"They have different feelings towards her, and she's able to manipulate them and love them differently. She was trying to basically turn them against each other, but they're like, 'You know what? I've been brothers with him a long time, so I think I'm going to side with my bro.' The love story this season is the brothers, so they'll get the most screen time," she said.
In other news, "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 could also feature a Caroline-Stefan baby storyline because of Candice Accola's confirmed pregnancy. During a previous interview, Accola said that she's not sure how her pregnancy will affect the upcoming season because the storylines have already been confirmed. She encouraged fans to simply wait and see whether or not Caroline will bear a child in Season 7.
Additionally, the upcoming installment will also center on how Damon and Bonnie will survive post Elena Gilbert's (Nina Dobrev) demise. According to reports, Damon will struggle to forget Elena and he will resort to drinking alcohol with his good friend Alaric.
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 8.
