ESPN's Dianna Russini Receives Apology Over Ugly Tweet By Redskins' Boss Wife

More than two weeks ago, Jessica McCloughan allegedly posted a tweet directed towards ESPN reporter Dianna Russini. McCloughan turned out to be Scot McCloughan's wife, G.M. of the Washington Redskins.

According to an article on inquisitr.com , the ugly tweet, which read out as: "@DiannaESPN Please tell us how many BJ's you had to give to get this story. And did they laugh at you before or after?" The tweet became controversial after it was traced back to Mrs. McCloughan. With the NFL season still underway, this is not entirely good publicity for the team.

Still in the same article, the Twitter ID "Rutherchevy" apparently belonged to the Mrs. and has since been removed from the social media site after reports circulated of the disparaging remark on the sports reporter, Russini. Senior VP for the Redskins initially denied the account belonging to Mrs. McCloughan, calling it "fake" and that the latter was never involved. However, it was soon realized afterwards that the account was indeed hers after Mrs. McCloughan was forced to apologize over yet another discouraging comment two days before the incident occurred.

On another article on profootballtalk.nbcsports.com, a detailed account on Mrs. McCloughan's newest apology said "I deeply apologize for the disparaging remarks about an ESPN reporter on my personal Twitter account...The comment was unfounded and inappropriate, and I have the utmost respect for both the reporter and ESPN. I regret that my actions have brought undeserved negative attention to the Redskins organization and its leadership. My comments in no way reflect the opinions or attitudes of the organization and I regret that my behavior has in any way negatively impacted the team and its loyal fan base."

Hopefully it would be resolved on both parties (whatever their differences are, if any) soon. ESPN still has to comment on the said incident.
