Kobe Bryant's wife, Vanessa, has reportedly sold one of their three mansions on Newport Coast for around $3.22 million.
The home was given as a present from Kobe in 2011, just a month after Vanessa filed for divorce. However, she decided to sell the mansion and listed it for 3.75 million in September 2012. The price of the property was cut down twice before it actually sold for $3.22 million. The couple bought the home together for $2.65 million in 2003, reports Laist.
The double-story gated residence is a lovely 5 bedroom-5.5 bathroom single family space with around 6,000 square feet of living area. The place features five fireplaces, a library/office and a modern gourmet kitchen. The property boasts of scenic mountain and ocean views. The home also has an outdoor barbecue place with a warm fireplace. A soothing spa is also one of its luxury amenities, reports Huffington Post.
Vanessa filed for divorce in December 2011 to end the 10-year marriage with Kobe. Since then the couple's private life has been a roller coaster ride. They were recently seen together on New Year's Eve and have been romantically associated ever since the split filing, reports TMZ.
Kobe is the shooting guard for the Los Angeles Lakers and has played with the team all his career. He ranks fifth on the team's "all time regular scoring list" and third in the " all time post season scoring list."
Bryant grabbed headlines in 2003 for a sexual assault charge filed by a 19-year-old hotel employee. The charge was later dropped as the victim refused to testify in court. However, Bryant admitted to indulging in an illicit encounter with the woman but did not admit rape. The incident led to Bryant losing many commercial contracts including the ones with McDonalds and Nutella. The case was later said to be settled in private.
