'The Walking Dead' Spoilers: How Show Cast and Crew Avoid Drones

"The Walking Dead" diehard fans will do anything just to get spoilers much like the show's walkers are hungry to feed on humans.

Activities like this is forcing AMC and "The Walking Dead" cast and crew to think of extreme measures in order to protect and preserve the integrity of each episode they film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Scott M. Gimple said, "We do like preserving the story for the audience," when asked about what the show's fans are doing to get spoilers which are spread online. He also added that the biggest threat to their production are drones and not just to the show but to the safety of the crew and people who are watching them film in the streets.

In the same report by The Hollywood Reporter, "The Walking Dead" co-star Sonequa Martin Green who plays "Sasha" in the show shared that they have their own ways of thwarting any attempts to get spoilers from their film locations. She said there are times that actors need to be covered so as not to give away any information about the scene they are filming. She added that even what costumes they are wearing can give people clues as to what would happen next and even how their makeup looks like.

Even star Steve Yeun, one of the original cast members still present in the show, said he is used to hearing spoilers about the character he plays on "The Walking Dead" series. "I've struggled with this a lot actually; sometimes I do get perturbed by it. It's not because it's annoying - it's mostly because I want [fans trying to catch a glimpse near the set] to experience the best version of what we're doing," he said.

According to Cinemablend, it is not just "The Walking Dead" that is facing such a challenge. Even the new "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" filming has been mired by fan-operated drones flying over the set.
