Pink Stands By Her Comments On The VMA, But Has No Issues With Demi Lovato

Last week Pink was not impressed with the VMAs. According to Celebuzz, Pink, 35, took to her private Instagram after the show, criticizing the annual MTV show by saying, "I felt embarrassed and sad. And old. We're getting old. But in all seriousness; I felt sad because music is supposed to inspire. It saved my life. This trash won't save any kids life. In a world that is even scarier and with lives still worth saving, who will stand up and have soul? Disenfranchised to say the least. Let down by my industry peers. Beside Macklemore and phar. and Bieber (pre-sob fest) and the weekend, Tori Kelly was dope too. The rest was gross and embarrassing and hard for this aging pop star to believe."

According to People, fans were quick to notice that she only gave recognition to Macklemore, Pharrell, Bieber and Tori Kelly for their dope performance. On the other hand, her line that said "the rest was gross and embarrassing" were interpreted by fans that she was referring to performers like Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Iggy Azalea.

Demi Lovato must have taken it negatively as she had defended her "Cool For The Summer" song in her Twitter account @ddlovato, "Cool For The Summer may not 'save kid's lives' or 'inspire' but I'd say Skyscraper & Warrior have done a pretty good job of helping people." She also added, "Cope with mental illness. VMA's are sexy and fun. There's a time and place for everything."

Last Friday, according to eonline.com, Pink doesn't deny slamming most of the performance at the VMAs but has clarified that she has no issues with Demi Lovato. She tweeted last Friday, "Please look for a feud elsewhere. I have no issue with Demi Lovato or anyone else. I actually forgot she performed. I have opinions. MANY". Then she added, "I stand by what I said. However, I didn't intend for the angry people of the world to latch on and make it into something it isn't. Peace". She also said that, "Anything about Demi Lovato or called out anyone. I was talking to a friend in response to his disappointment about the show. I agree w him."
