It's SALE time in the Los Angeles celebrity real estate market. The "Real Gone" singer-musician Sheryl Crow has reportedly knocked off a good $2 million from her original asking price of $15.95 million for her Hollywood Hills home. The home was first listed by the singer in October 2012.
Crow could not find any suitable takers for the home and therefore decided to bring in the discount, reports TMZ.
The Los Angeles residence is spread over an expanse of 11 acres. The gated property has three early century styled homes. The main house comprises of 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms that have all undergone some renovation. The home boasts of beamed ceilings and Spanish tiled flooring. A gourmet kitchen and a modern wine cellar are some of its exquisite culinary features. The home also consists of a cozy study/library and a charming music room. Opening toward the back are beautiful gardens that sport a stone fireplace and a barbecue, reports Redfin.
The other unit on the property is a 3 bedroom-3 bathroom cottage that Crow used as a guest house. Another sprawling bungalow comprising of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms sports brilliant white oak flooring. A claw-foot bathtub adorns one of the two bathrooms as well, reports Zillow.
The property also has scenic views of hills and oceans. Crow lived in the place for 20 years before she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She allegedly packed up and moved to Tennessee before listing the home for sale in October 2012.
The nine-time Grammy Award-winner has sold more than 17 million albums and is a famous country, folk, pop and rock singer. After battling breast cancer, she was again diagnosed with meningioma- a brain tumor that is not fatal. After her alleged break up with ace cyclist Lance Armstrong, she adopted two sons and currently lives with them in a farmhouse outside Nashville, Tennessee.
