Jerry Bruckheimer Bids for Georges Marciano's Home

Jerry Bruckheimer, TV and film producer, has reportedly made an offer to buy the Beverly Hills home of George Marciano, co-founder of fashion brand Guess, for $23 million. The property formerly belonged to Columbia Pictures head, the late Harry Cohn.

Georges Marciano listed the property for sale initially in May 2012.

It's believed that the property's sale is a part of the proceedings of the company's bankruptcy travails. The home was listed for $24.5 million. Marciano was sued by his former employees and has been ordered by the court to pay $370 million in order to settle the suit.

Bruckheimer reportedly bid to shell out $23 million for the posh property. Even though the court has already approved his offer, bidders can still claim to make larger offers and the deal has not yet been sealed, reports Business Insider.

The residence is located on North Crescent Drive, north of Beverly Hills and is spread across an area of 19,590 square feet. The place consists of 7 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. The home was built in 1927 and designed by famous designer Robert. D. Farquhar. The two story home sports a wooden foyer leading to a spacious living room and a formal dining room. The place also sports a snooker room along with a card room. Two kitchens, a family room along with a screening room and a paneled library complete the first floor, reports Trulia.

On the upper level, a master suite sports two attached bathrooms and a wing sporting walk in closets. Another 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms complete the second floor. Outside, the property sports 2 guest houses, a garage and circular motor court. A pavilion and a sunken tennis court are also some of its exquisite features. The whole place has 2 acres of green gardens along with a pool, reports Trulia.
