Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed recently tied the knot and shared several snapshots of their wedding on social media. While everything seems well for the newlywed couple, rumor has it that Reed and Somerhalder are already having trouble in paradise because of the couple's conflicting plans about starting their own family. Will they compromise with each other or will this hurt their marriage?
Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder got married in a private ceremony in April after nine months of dating. While the couple has been involved in a number of rumors and controversies surrounding their relationship (which sometimes involve Somerhalder's ex-girlfriend, Nina Dobrev), Reed and Somerhalder are still going strong as ever.
"The Vampire Diaries" actor and "Twilight" actress recently shared photos from their wedding, which seemingly dispel rumors about the couple's problems. According to Movie News Guide, the couple's photos from their wedding ceremony in Malibu were released in the upcoming issue of Brides Magazine.
The outlet noted that the 27-year-old actress also revealed in an interview that she and Somerhalder did not want their loved ones to have any expectations of the event. While the couple definitely looks blissful in these newly released photos, a new report from Celeb Dirty Laundry hints that Somerhalder and Reed are facing some problems; but this time, it's not because of Nina Dobrev.
According to the publication, Somerhalder is already keen on starting a family with Reed; however, the "Sleepy Hollow" actress refuses to get pregnant. The 36-year-old actor allegedly wanted to have a "honeymoon baby" but Reed did not want to start a family, especially after landing a role in the Fox series.
Reed is reportedly starting to establish her name in the industry and is trying to break free from the "Twilight" fame, and pregnancy will stop her from making this progress. The outlet also noted, however, that this rumor about Somerhalder and Reed's baby plans seem to coincide with the former's recent hints on social media about leaving TVD and looking forward to a better future.
Will Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed work on a compromise on their baby plans or will this hurt the couple's relationship? Should Reed prioritize her career over starting a family?
