Jane Lauder, heiress of cosmetic giant Estée Lauder Companies, finally managed to unload her Park Avenue Penthouse for $6.5 million. The home first came up in the market with an asking price of $8.9 million in 2010.
The penthouse is located at 830 Park Av., which is a premiere prewar cooperative building. The home is a 6,200 square-foot abode that consists of 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The place sports a spacious living room with a warm fireplace. It has beautiful terrace views and well landscaped gardens. There is also separate single bedroom guest apartment to entertain visitors. The penthouse also has private elevator access, reports New York Post.
The home has three separate east, west and North facing open terraces. The place also boasts of two libraries and a studio. A maid's room and a state-of-the-art gym are some of its other amenities. The house was staged proficiently before it was sold, reports Curbed National.
Lauder currently lives in a triplex in Nolita, which she bought in 2005 for $12.63 million. Her other property, The Hampton's Beachfront home was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy in October 2012, reports the Daily Mail.
Lauder was recently appointed head of Darphin, another branch of the Estée Lauder Companies, which was founded by Grandmother Estée Lauder in 1946. She is also the general manager and the international spearhead of skincare brands Ojon and Origins. The company owns many popular brands like Mac cosmetics, Tommy Hilfiger and Flirt!
Lauder's home was bought by an anonymous buyer, reports The New York Post.
