Daniel Craig becomes the first "James Bond" star to produce the said movie as he is listed to be a co-producer of the new instalment "Spectre."
According to Mirror Online, this is the first time that Daniel will be part of this side of the movie. He also plays the big role as Ian Flemming's spy for the fourth time in this upcoming film. His name is listed along with Andrew Noakes and David Pope, which shows that his genius work can be of great potential on-camera as well as behind it.
According to People, in this upcoming Bond instalment, Craig did not hold back as he portrays the 007 franchise role. The actor "gives it his all. He totally inhibits the character and has transformed it and given it complexity and humanity," said producer Barbara Broccoli.
In fact, while putting so much effort in portraying as the British spy, Craig had his knee injured in April which caused him to undergo a surgery. Producer Michael G. Wilson said, "The physical challenge was amazing. But Daniel went through it and he got the job done."
In his interview with Esquire Magazine, the "Skyfall" actor talks about the Bond that he wants to be. "Hopefully, my Bond is not as sexist and misogynistic as [earlier incarnations]. The world has changed. I am certainly not that person. But he is, and so what does that mean? It means you cast great actresses and make the parts as good as you can for the women in the movies," he said.
He also added how hard it was to do a follow-up after the huge success of "Skyfall." "I think everyone was just daunted. Like, it's the biggest British movie of all time. Where do we go from there? It could have been an albatross around everyone's necks. It turned out not to be but there was a massive amount of pressure," Daniel said.
