'Batman vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice' Cast & News: 'Game Of Thrones' Alum Jason Momoa Teases His Role As Aquaman

For many years now, Aquaman is considered to be a useless member of the Justice League, but "Game of Thrones" alum Jason Momoa will prove otherwise. Momoa will be playing Aquaman in the upcoming film "Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice."

When Momoa attended the Fan Expo in Canada, he teased fans about his character in the movie. According to Cinema Blend, Momoa thinks that the movie will change people's perception of the iconic superhero. He also said that he is not bothered at all when people make jokes about the character. According to Entertainment Weekly, Momoa said, "There's a bunch of jokes about him, but I'm like, 'Just wait. Let's just wait a little bit, and then you can make jokes.'"

In an earlier interview, Momoa revealed that fans could expect some backstory about Aquaman in the movie, and the whole story is reportedly amazing. He said that although the character has been cast aside in the past, Aquaman will show something pretty amazing in the movie. He expressed his excitement for the fans to see how they worked on the character and he revealed that he will be adding certain elements to Aquaman from his past roles.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice" is scheduled for release on March 23, 2016, and the cast members include Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. It was reported that the movie will help set the stage for the "Justice League" movies which are scheduled for November 17, 2017 (Part 1) and June 14, 2019 (Part 2).

Meanwhile, Aquaman will have his own movie, which will be directed by James Wan. It is slated for release on July 27, 2018.
