It was earlier reported that a new villain would be coming to "The Walking Dead" as it returns for Season 6. Could it be Negan?
According to International Business Times, a source claimed that the production is currently casting a new character for Season 6, but it was not confirmed as to whether this character is Negan, who is one of the villains introduced in the comic book.
TV Line claims the character the team is looking for has a similar description with Negan. The website described the character as "as a fifty-something narcissist who has an angry streak, a 'Senator-like charm' and the charisma of a car salesman." Many fans think that this character is very much similar with Negan, so it is reportedly a huge possibility that he will be the new villain in Season 6.
In the comic book, Negan is known to be the leader of a ruthless group called "The Saviors" who brutally kills Glenn as they try to take over the Alexandria Safe-Zone. The show's executive producer Gale Anne Hurd revealed that the makers of the show might follow the story from the comic books when they finally decide to debut Negan's character.
Will this mean that Glenn will be killed off in the next season? In an interview with Entertainment Weeklyl, Steven Yeun did not reveal anything about his fate in Season 6. However, he gave details on what fans can expect about the characters in Season 6.
Yeun revealed that in Season 6, the characters will be more emotional and broken, and the new season will show how much has been taken away from the survivors. He added that despite the emotional roller coaster ride of an adventure that they had for the past seasons, the characters will still continue to do some crazy stuff to survive.
"The Walking Dead" Season 6 will premiere on AMC on October 11.
